We have a PCX 150, and we ride it on and off of the freeways. We are going to try to determine the same thing once we can actually see a Burgman 200, if the dealer ever gets one. One thing we need to determine is the weight of the b200 vs the PCX. Then we will have to determine if the b200 has more power and comfort.
According to the book, service (including valve check/adjustment) is required at 600 miles, and every 2500 miles thereafter. According to the dealers book the complete service costs $240. According to the PCX forums, the valve check alone takes about 3 hours. Obviously a dealer would do it faster. The Fly 150 is also an attractively priced machine ($2999) with similar drawbacks (older technology means a bit less power and fuel efficiency). Conversely, Suzuki’s Burgman 200 is an extra thousand ($4999) and comes with reduced fuel economy (65 mpg) but it adds another 5-10 mph of top speed making it more suited for bigger riders or freeway. 2019-2020 Honda FourTrax Rancher 420 / TRX420 / TM1 / TE1 / FM1 / FM2 / FE1 / FA1 / FA2 / FA5 / FA6 Part# 61HR307 service shop repair manual.

Strange as it should have had one at 2500/5000 as it used to be miles or time, whatever comes 1st. I do my own services now. Should it not be 1yr or 5000 miles then?

We are sorry to learn of the discrepancies with the maintenance schedule. The scooter needs to be serviced once per year or every 2500 miles excluding the first service (600miles, 2500miles, 5000miles, 7500miles, 10000 miles, 12500miles, 15000miles), whichever comes first. Only the radiator coolant, final drive oil and the brake fluid need changing every 2 years. Should you have further queries, do not hesitate to contact us back. Kind Regards, that clears up any confusion that any one may have

Don't know what's going on here - Honda specify the interval in the user manual, dealers are stating different things. If Honda have changed the intervals, then they or the dealer should notify all users of the change via email, post, etc. If you bought it you should be registered with the dealer and Honda if new. This seems more like the dealers do not know what is correct and making it up as they go.

Honda provide the warranty and they decide on the terms. _________________ Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong

The only time honda will extend the warranty interval or total coverage time is if a major component has been replaced, like piston assy or crankshaft, and they want to give the owner a perk for his trouble. The warranty file will reflect this change. _________________ Glen ‘15 PCX build thread here: https://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4640 Current: ‘18 XMAX 300
